Guest Reviews

This tour with Max Tours was incredible and exceeded all expectations (and yes, I know this tour already has so many glowing reviews!). From start to finish our incredible driver Bobby was sensational! He was kind, extremely knowledgeable of the local area, pointing out multiple interesting things enroute and adding history to the tour above the normal stops. Bobby made sure all passengers were comfortable and drove with the utmost care, we felt safe and looked after. Bobby went above and beyond to help us get incredible photos, and even managed a few bonus stops as the group managed our time well (something he definitely didn’t need to do, and we would have been non the wiser if he had sped through the tour to get home early). The tour itself is a long day, we were picked up bang on time, once all passengers were present had a briefing of what to expect during the day and then off we went. First stop was the famous Vegas sign; we arrived early and beat the crowds, we were the only tour minibus there with just a handful of individual tourists taking photos. Bobby helped capture some group photos and individual ones to kick the tour of memorably. We then headed to Seven Magic Mountains, again we were the only tour present at the time of arrival and departure meaning we captured some great photos without people in the background. At this point we had our breakfast muffin and some snacks before heading on to the Hoover Dam. At the Hoover Dam Bobby drove over the dam to explain some parts of the history and key facts stopping on the Arizona side for some pictures ‘behind’ the dam, then proceeding back across to the Nevada side to allow us time to wander over the dam on foot and explore at our leisure. From the Hoover Dam we then proceeded to bonus stop 1 of an overlook of Lake Mead, then onto a gas station midway to the Grand Canyon. Here we had chance to buy a Subway sandwich or other items for lunch before proceeding onto the main event. Again through the journey Bobby was attentive, answered questions on the journey and pointed out various landmarks to keep the journey interesting. Once at the Grand Canyon we were cleared through security and as Max Tours is an authorised operator Bobby was able to drive us to the two key points (Guano & Eagle point) in the minibus, something other operators are not able to do and rely on the parks own shuttle service! This was definitely a bonus as we did not have to wait for potentially crowded buses and set our own schedule. Both Guano & Eagle point had incredible views, of which we were lucky to have the weather on our side to get clear views of the canyon seeing for miles around! We purchased the additional Skywalk tickets which Bobby had to hand on arrival at Eagle Point. The Skywalk gave incredible perspective of the canyon and added an additional once in a lifetime experience. Sadly due to issues during Covid-19 the glass of the Skywalk is a little scuffed in places, it is still easy to see to the Canyon floor but dulls the view a little; the other slight negative is not being permitted to take your own camera onto the Skywalk to capture the views, but it’s understandable for both safety and crowd control reasons. (There are photographers on the Skywalk who can capture images for a fee). On the way back we made a short stop at the Joshua Tree forest before making the journey back to Vegas. We would highly, highly recommend anyone coming to Vegas to take the tour if they wanted to see the Canyon! The service was outstanding, if you’re lucky enough to get Bobby was your tour guide he elevates the experience above expectations, and you’ll be able to capture some incredible memories!

Amazing all the way. Before even starting everything is very well explained, and they are open to answer any questions beforehand. The tour itself is amazing. I did the 2-day Grand Canyon Tour, which I recommend because it gives you time to experience everything well. The places are stunning, the drive is beautiful, the hotel was comfy and our guide (Rocco) was amazing. It's more than worth it. Lo recomiendo 1000%

We went in the May on Grand Canyon West tour with tour guide Bobby. He was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond. Bobby has tons of knowledge on topic, he is super nice and attentive to details. We been able to see Vegas sign, Hoover Dam, Seven Magic Mountains as well as an extra stop at Joshua Tree Park. Traveling with the small group was for sure a hugely beneficial. We been on time at every destination and never had to wait for anybody. On the way back to Vegas Bobby has provided us with sophisticated information on fine dinning in Las Vegas. If you booking with Maxtour, I'm most definitely recommend to ask if you can have Bobby as your tour guide!

Phenomenal day trip! Started out about 6:40 am when Thomas picked us up from our hotel! He was so personable and knowledgeable (and stood in as the official group photographer!). We really appreciated having him guide us for the day. He kept us hydrated with a wide variety of beverages and kept us fed with snacks all day! Snacks ranged from bananas, muffins, chips, snack bars, etc. Thomas made sure we were aware of the plan each step of the way. Very organized and prepared! We stopped for pics at the Las Vegas sign and 7 magic mountains with a longer stop at the Hoover dam. Then on to the Grand Canyon. Thomas provided us with humor and facts all along the way. Max tours has the ability to go places other tour groups can’t which makes the experience more enjoyable. We stopped at Guano Point and Eagle point! Our only disappointment of the day was the line at the skywalk. We paid extra for the ability to stand in line inside for 50 minutes instead of being outside exploring. This was no fault of Thomas or Max Tours, I would just not recommend paying to add this on. Definitely take this trip! It is a full day and was absolutely amazing.

As soon as the van pulled up (on time) I knew we booked the right tour. Brian hopped out, shook our hands while introducing himself with a huge smile on his face! His knowledge and welcoming attitude made this day even better. We did the Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam, and Seven Magic Mountains Tour. We had 11 others with us on the van and what a GREAT group to tour with! The van was impeccably clean, roomy, and comfortable to do the travel time in. As we traveled, Brian was full of information about different places that we were passing. And each time he opened the doors of the van he gave us pertinent information about each stop. He never just left us. He was always involved and it was fantastic! There was ample time at each stop, and you got to see what you wanted to see. The back door of the van was always open to the drinks and snacks as said in their posts. We would definitely hire this company again! We would highly recommend it!!
