Hoover Dam: From Above - On Top - And Below. Don’t miss this opportunity of a lifetime! We had visited Vegas a few times before, but we always spent our time on the strip and old Vegas. This time we planned to visit the Hoover Dam. After reading all the online reviews we decided on Max Tours. They did not disappoint on our “Hoover Dam: From Above - On Top - And Below” tour. At the start, we were greeted with a friendly smile from Scott our tour guide. The Transit vehicle was new and extremely clean. Scott arrived about 10 minutes before our departure time, which immediately put us at ease for a day of excitement. The van was loaded with plenty of water and snacks. During the entire 40 minute drive to the Dam, Scott shared valuable information about Vegas and the surrounding area. We stopped at a few places along the way with amazing views, where Scott was truly glad to snap as many photos as needed. The walk along the top of the Dam was unbelievable. While the touring the generators/turbines was magical. So, in summary my wife and I highly recommend that you take this tour with Max Tours, if the Hoover Dam is on your bucket list. Thanks again Scott (and Max Tours) for the terrific day! 5/5

Great day out, a must do in Vegas. A well organised day from prompt pick-up to on-time drop off. Our driver and guide, Luis G was knowledgable and shared loads of facts about Las Vegas, its history and nuggets of useful insights to the Hoover dam, Grand Cannon, Sky Walk as well as a couple of ‘bonus’ stops to see wild life and Joshua tree forest. Good value for money with the water, sodas and snacks; this is a highly recommended tour. And a great play list to listen too.

I wish there were more than 5 stars to describe my experience with MaxTour, specifically their Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas. I used Viator to book, but next time I will book directly. The whole 12 hour trip went like clockwork, from pick up to drop off, and everything in between. It was a pleasant, chill tour, since I wasn't having to do the driving! Loved the small group experience vs the giant bus (like the one we used for Hoover Dam a few days prior). It makes the process of getting on and off the bus, checking out the sites, meals, etc. go WAY quicker and easier. Definitely go with a small group tour, you won't regret it. Death Valley is an incredibly beautiful, magical place. I seriously had no idea just how gorgeous the national park was, expecting a pile of rocks! Salt Flats at Badwater Basin, the many colors of rock at Artists Palette, golden colored badlands from Zabriskie Point, and the expansive views at Dantes View were some of the highlights. The pictures just don't do this place justice, and can't capture the beauty. It's a must-see in person. Johnny was our tour guide and driver, and he did an amazing job at both tasks. Not only was he professional, kind, patient, friendly and fun, he had super taste in music. We got to listen to some great tunes the whole ride to Death Valley and back. Jonny was able to impart his vast knowledge of the park, but also Las Vegas, so he really kept the day interesting. I'm already looking a doing another MaxTour next year while in Vegas. If it's anything like our Death Valley tour, I know we're in good hands!

Max Tours and Luis are the best! Max Tours is definitely the best company to use when sight seeing around Las Vegas! Luis was excellent at giving our group information about the Hoover Dam, Boulder City and Las Vegas. The van is comfortable and the group is small. Luis was quick to offer cold water, drinks and snacks at every opportunity. He even had umbrellas to shade us from the sun while we walked the Hoover Dam. He even stopped in Boulder City to let us get pictures of the big horn mountain goats grazing in the park. The tour was well worth the money!

Nice half day trip with plenty to see and to learn That was a nice half day tour where you could really see the Hoover Dam from top, back, front and we even made it down to the power plant. Joey, our driver / guide, made it a nice experience he did a great job driving, made sure we had drinks and snacks through the tour and gave us a lot of good information / explanations along the way and around the attractions, as well as helping to take pictures etc. So it was a fun trip that I truly enjoyed.

Great morning trip from Vegas to Hoover Dam. Great day trip. Luis our guide and driver was the best. He was polite, considerate of all and offered often to take our photos and offer us beverages and snacks. He gave us very informative info as we drove and at the places where we stopped. The tour of the inside of Hoover Dam was amazing.

Are kids allowed on this tour?

Yes of course! There’s no children's price, but any children aged 5 and older are welcome to enjoy the ride at the full rate. And just let us know if you need a booster seat and we can arrange it at no extra cost.

Why is the 12 PM departure not available?

The noon departure option is exclusively offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, excluding the summer season.

What hotels do you pick up from?

We pick up from all hotels within 2 miles of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas.

What time does this tour start and end?

Pick-ups are from 7:15-8:00 AM and drop-offs are usually from 1:00 and 2:00 PM, depending on the conditions on the day of the tour.

What kind of vehicle will we tour on?

You will tour in high roof extended length passenger vans with 9 feet of head room, huge viewing windows, and plenty of legroom in each seat.

Do we need to bring drinks and snacks?

No you don't! We’ll provide unlimited water, drinks, and snacks for our guests along the way.

Will I be picked up at my hotel?

Yes! As long as you are staying at a hotel within 2 miles of the Las Vegas strip or Downtown Las Vegas, you will be picked up directly from your hotel. We will email you the day before your tour to arrange the exact time and place you will be picked up.

Is there a bathroom onboard?

Our tours are conducted in 15 seat passenger vans, not buses. There is no bathroom on our vans. We will make timely stops so all our guests can use the restroom.

Can I bring a wheelchair or scooter on the tour?

Unfortunately there isn't room on our small group tour vans to bring a wheelchair.

Are tips mandatory?

Your Tour Guide will work hard to ensure that all guests in attendance enjoy a uniquely memorable experience while traveling with MaxTour, and will serve as your photographer and chauffeur in addition to your source for knowledge about the sites your tour visits. While tipping is not mandatory, it is common practice and greatly appreciated by your Tour Guide.
